Victoria Healthcare provide short-term, temporary respite care in the client’s own home in the West Cork and Cork City regions. We offer relief to those who are caring for family members and neighbours. We recognise that the work of an unpaid carer – while very rewarding – is under-appreciated in today’s society and is not adequately supported by the State. At times it can prove physically, mentally and emotionally overwhelming. We offer respite to people of all ages and abilities. During respite, our highly trained healthcare professionals will arrange a planned programme of care visits and enjoyable social outings for the client while his/her caregiver is also enjoying a well-deserved break. Our aim is to minimise upheaval and stress for the client.
